Biggest losers included NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:), which lost 2.04% or 2.86 points to trade at 137.07 in late trade. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:) declined 1.73% or 7.58 points to end at 430.53 and Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:) shed 1.40% or 3.19 points to 223.86.
The top performers on the S&P 500 were Lamb Weston Holdings Inc (NYSE:) which rose 2.63% to 67.00, APA Corporation (NASDAQ:) which was up 1.14% to settle at 22.09 and Hershey Co (NYSE:) which gained 0.97% to close at 171.83.
The worst performers were Super Micro Computer Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 5.22% to 31.98 in late trade, Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:) which lost 4.95% to settle at 431.66 and Palantir Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 3.69% to 79.11 at the close.
The top performers on the NASDAQ Composite were Intrusion Inc (NASDAQ:) which rose 381.56% to 2.17, iLearningEngines Inc (NASDAQ:) which was up 266.05% to settle at 0.59 and Graphjet Technology (NASDAQ:) which gained 198.38% to close at 1.01.
The worst performers were Viracta Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 32.49% to 0.16 in late trade, reAlpha Tech Corp (NASDAQ:) which lost 29.05% to settle at 2.54 and Painreform Ltd (NASDAQ:) which was down 28.57% to 3.50 at the close.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 2262 to 547 and 65 ended unchanged; on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, 2383 fell and 915 advanced, while 109 ended unchanged on the New York Stock Exchange.
