You’ll be lucky to get a simple cup of tea of £1 these days so it might surprise you to learn that Virgin Media is dishing out access to blockbuster movies for that ludicrously low cost. The telecoms provider has just announced a new deal that includes three months of access to the MUBI streaming platform for just a quid.
Yes, for less than a loaf of bread, you can watch endless movies from across the world. The best part is that the £1 price keeps the films flowing for three months, so we’ll be well into the spring by the time the offer ends.
For those not in the know, MUBI (which usually costs £11.99) is home to premium independent and award-winning content with a library of hundreds of titles available.
Once signed up, you’ll be able to enjoy movies such as five-time Oscar nominated film The Substance starring Demi Moore, Past Lives, Aftersun, Priscilla and La Chimera.
There are also movies fresh from cinemas, such as Luca Guadagnino’s Queer, starring Daniel Craig.
Speaking about the incentive, David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, said: “Virgin TV is the home of great value entertainment. Whether it’s providing our customers with access to channels or content at no extra cost, or offering opportunities to enjoy popular subscriptions for less, we’re always looking to give our customers something extra to enjoy.
“That’s why this awards season we are offering our customers a money-saving reward with MUBI, delivering them Oscar nominated content and more for only £1 over three months.”
Fancy giving it a go? Virgin says MUBI, will be discounted for Virgin TV customers who don’t currently have a MUBI account, saving them over £30 during the offer period.
Customers can access the money-saving reward directly via their set-top box, through a QR code which is visible on the MUBI app. Once signed up, customers with a Virgin TV 360 or Stream box can sit back, relax and enjoy MUBI’s hand-picked selection of great cinema.
The deal is available until February 9.
