Last week, Vodafone Idea CEO Akshaya Moondra talked about the company’s commercial 5G launch plan. The telecom company is preparing to launch its commercial 5G mobile services. In a letter to subscribers, Moondra noted that Vi is partnering with global leaders such as Ericsson, Nokia and Samsung.
“By March 2025, thousands of new sites will enhance your connectivity, elevating your network experience to extraordinary heights,” he stated.

As part of its collaboration with IT firm HCL Tech’s software business arm, Vi will benefit from this advanced technology as it will help in network performance, save energy, and offer better services to its customers.
“This collaboration brings several benefits to Vi and its users. The HCL ANA platform has an open architecture and empowers Vi to manage and automate its network independently, reducing dependency on OEM-specific features and applications. It helps save energy, reducing costs and making the network more sustainable,” HCL Tech said.
Most importantly, Vi customers will experience a faster and more reliable network.
According to Vodafone Idea CTO Jagbir Singh, the AI-powered HCL ANA platform will streamline its network operations and provide superior network experience to the customers. “It also reflects Vi’s commitment to using advanced, Made-in-India technologies to improve services, reduce costs, and prepare for the future.”
