Voltas shares 1.35% as Sensex falls


Shares of Voltas Ltd. traded 1.35 per cent at Rs 1745.60 at 12:32PM (IST) on Wednesday, even as BSE benchmark Sensex 456.07 points to 80228.38. The stock had closed at Rs 1769.60 in the previous session.

The stock quoted a 52-week high and 52-week low of Rs 1946.20 and Rs 857.55, respectively.

As per BSE data, total traded volume on the counter till 12:32PM (IST) stood at 12:32PM shares with turnover at Rs 0.78 crore.

At the prevailing price, the stock trades at 104.45 times its trailing 12-month earnings per share of Rs 16.75 per share and 6.27 times its price-to-book value, the exchange data showed.

A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher share price today because of growth expectations in the future. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
